Why don't you get up...
So let's see...things have been slow, I've been in survival mode with finals.
First off I saw Ghostface Killah and Raekwon this past Sat. Got there in time to catch Pharoahe Monch's set, which was good. Then instead of Ghostface just coming out to do a set, Raekwon came out and did a couple of songs, before Ghost joined him to do a few of Only Built For Cuban Linkz. Then Ghost and Theodore Unit did a couple of songs, probably 5 or 6, then Ghost did a few more with Raekwon before Raekwon just finished out his set. Really was kinda bummed Ghost didn't do a long set and/or have merch. But whateva, I shoulda figured seeing as it was at Mezzanine, with 5 million people on the bill. I'm still contemplating whether I want to go check the show out in SD at HOB on the 21st. We shall see.
Tonite I went over to 12 Galaxies to catch The Cave Singers. I had only heard a few of their songs, and only knew that it was Derek from Pretty Girls Make Graves. But WOW, that's all I can say. They were fucking amazing. So good in fact, I'm seriously contemplating driving up to LA to see them next Friday night. Didn't really catch the opening acts, except one song from Okay. But it was ok, cause The Cave Singers were amazing. Picked up their demo cd, and I'm sure it'll be on rotation and played on my iPod for quite some time to come...
SD from the 20-28, so probably no updates, possibly though.
Diplo, Flosstradamus, & Kid Sister on the 29th, and then soon there after will be ringin in 2007...crazy how fast this year went. Ok, I got cleaning and packing to do.
